A delivery, or transport on its own keel, is the ideal way to bring your ship to a new destination without complicated operations on trucks or transport vessels. Moreover, a delivery has the advantage that your ship goes directly from its current to your desired location.
Unlike other delivery skippers, van der Burg-Maritiem does not use a “checklist” that your vessel must meet for a crossing. In reality, most modern vessels can handle an Atlantic crossing, from small boats to large ships, and even rowers complete the journey every year. Much more important than, for example, hull length, keel shape, or equipment are things like good voyage planning and seamanship. Every delivery is custom-made, so please feel free to contact us, without obligations, to discuss your requirements.
During delivery, you will have access to the Delivery tracker page, where you can track your ship live via satellite and receive daily updates.

Van der Burg-Maritiem distinguishes itself by sailing in a minimalist style and always brings its own equipment, such as: hand tools, life-saving and emergency equipment, satellite communication, charts, pilots, and other navigation aids, etc. This allows you to keep costs and complexity relatively low.

An Atlantic crossing is amongst the possibilities. For example, it can be profitable if you purchased an ex-charter ship at an attractive price and wish to bring it to Europe, or if you want to move your vacation area from Europe to the Caribbean.
For short deliveries, the cost is 450.- per day. This price includes crew expenses (provisions, telephone costs, etc.) and excludes ship expenses (fuel, port dues, etc.). Travel expenses to and from your ship are 0.40 per km by car or 100% reimbursement when using public transport.
For deliveries longer than a week, you can request a quote at a reduced daily rate. If it involves a long crossing or a difficult route, Van der Burg-Maritiem can offer you a fixed All-in price. This way, you know exactly what to expect in advance, regardless of any setbacks such as bad weather.
